The Man Behind the Search
"Somewhere, right now, there's a designer with the talent to become the next Billion Dollar Designer — they just haven't been found yet. I'm searching for them. And when I find them, I intend to open every door I have."
Kenneth Bordewick has spent more than three decades designing some of the world's most demanding luxury interiors — from international hospitality brands to private residences, yachts, and aircraft. His work sits at the intersection of classical training and contemporary luxury, shaped by a career that began in Paris and has since spanned continents.
Kenneth studied at the Paris School of Interior Design from 1989 to 1991, where he developed the classical design foundation that still informs his work today. Over the following 31 years, he built a practice spanning luxury hospitality design for brands including Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott, alongside private residences, luxury estates, yacht interiors, jet aircraft interiors, and institutional and palace projects across the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Today, Kenneth leads Beverly Hills Luxury Interiors LLC, continuing to take on select high-end residential and hospitality projects — and dedicating part of his practice to an active search for the next great, undiscovered design talent. Once found, that talent is personally mentored through The Bordewick Atelier and shaped toward the caliber of a Billion Dollar Designer.
Why The Search. Why The Bordewick Atelier.
After 31 years in ultra-luxury design, Kenneth has seen firsthand how much of the profession's most valuable knowledge — the judgment calls, the client relationships, the instinct for what a space needs — is never written down. It's passed on person to person, or not passed on at all. And he's convinced that somewhere in the design world, unseen and undiscovered, is a designer with the raw talent to become truly exceptional — if only someone went looking for them.
That's the first motivation: the search. Kenneth is actively scouring design schools, portfolios, and studios — not waiting for talent to find him, but going out to find it. It's a deliberate, ongoing hunt for the next great name in luxury interior design.
The second motivation is what happens after someone is found: the mentorship. Through The Bordewick Atelier, Kenneth personally works with the designer he discovers — real projects, real critique, real access to the standards of his clientele — until they're equipped to work at a billion-dollar caliber of skill and career trajectory.
For Kenneth, the search and the mentorship are inseparable — one finds the talent, the other builds it. Together, they are his answer to a simple question: what if the right person had actually been looked for?
